Introducing today is the Huda Beauty Mercury Retrograde Eyeshadow Palette.
This is such a dreamy palette full of mermaids and fairies! This is a girly palette and my heart screams with joy every time I see it!
The colors are all wearable (yes!) and very pretty! It’s actually the perfect holiday palette. My favorite shades are Utopia, Haze, Nebula, Mercury, Momentum, Supernova, Karma, Golden Glitch and Frazzled.
I usually only have a few favorites, so the fact that I named almost every shade shows how amazing this palette really is!
Haze hides in the corner! Although it looks fairly pastel-based, in the swatch you’ll be able to better see that the color selection is fully blended, with some shy shades more punchy on the skin.
Foil glitters are great – each one can be swiped over and over, so they shine even more, giving them an almost liquid-like look.
Mattes are so buttery and a little pigmentation goes a long way with them. I really have no trouble with these mattes, they are very vibrant and look great on the skin.
Once it’s on the skin, it feels a little powdery rather than creamy. The whole wet look with shimmer/metallic shades doesn’t actually exist in this shade, which is a shame because the color is so lovely. Glitter powder on the palette – Nebula is very pretty.
I really like it! Some shades can be hit and miss like Vortex and some others, but for me, it doesn’t take away the beauty and whimsy of this palette.
